feel good friday

the other night a did a run down of our checklist, and im so happy to find out that we have accomplished almost all of the '6-9 months before' tasks already. the only items left are those for the church and marriage license requirements, which we should start completing first thing in september.

one important thing to consider though is the 'upcoming adjustments' in the preparation schedule. our 8 months left could only be 3 months na lang, for all we know... we never know... but we have to prepare for it, definitely whether its a GO or NO GO.

anyways, the past week has been too disturbing for me. came to a point where i had to think and re-think "why are we getting married nga pala?" "why now?" isnt the marriage counseling supposed to be done before the wedding preparations?" "why are you marrying me?" "why am i marrying you?"

well those are just due to hormonal imbalance, i believe (believe me!)- hahaha! part of those wedding jitters any bridezilla is expected to experience. was just too lucky to have mike by my side during that low moment of my life (drama!) and the small talk i had with him in the car, in between stoplights, was really therapeutic.

and after a couple of work out sessions and chocolate mousse indulgence, am back to my senses. hehehe...

changes (gown, reception and caterer)

unfortunately tet hagape told me that the gown i wanted might be difficult to make, because of the super difficult embroidery. she said there's no machine that can do embroideries that wide or something...

anyways, i have my next favorite style and design naman so its ok. actually it was my first choice pala, but i was told that lace is much expensive that the usual duchess satin. but after speaking with three designers, we found out that the cost of the gown will just be close to our budget. mike said ok, since i really love that design anyway, and it's unique and super lovely, coz its made of french lace.

will post it next time when i get the sketch from the designer. i havent chosen who among them will do it, but im thinking of getting Tita Mila for my gown and Tet Hagape for my ento.

by the way, the gown will be patterned after Tomasina's.

we almost changed the venue for the reception. now we're back to CTK Parish Hall. we went to Greenmeadows club house but the place might be a little small for 300+ guests. so even when i was in Mindoro, i tried my best to contact Ms Lily of CTK to re-book the parish hall. fortunately, its still available.

we also got Delica Catering for the food + events stylist. the package is somehow close to Avengoza's but because we got it during the Megatrade Hall Fair promo, we got lots of upgrade- making it super mega promo na. last night we had food tasting and wow, i was so full! i was able to finish the roast beef- imagine me, not so much into pork and beef- finishing one serving?! i'd say the food is superb. that's why we completed the downpayment already. plus we also got an additional special appetizer at a very reasonable (or should i say cheap) price!

finally got our engagement ring from Amy of myayala.com- nice! i like it (shempre who doesn't, girls' bestfriend yata ang diamonds!)

Amy is so nice, she even gave us huge discounts in our wedding rings- they're with us na din but surprise muna how they look like. basta i love them and im happy with what they look like- super fit and customized according to our preference and budget! :)

so i might, you know... 90% like ko na sya, hahaha! was able to speak with a couple of designers during the Wedding Summit in Crowne Plaza (yesterday) and got favorable estimates for this gown (including accessories).

pressure ito... i need to go to the gym regularly, i have how many months left pa :p

the car

i like Toyota Camry... and know what, i got the opportunity to "drive" one during the Toyota event in World Trade Center last year.

kaya for my bridal car, we're looking for suppliers or car services that has this kind of car for rent. or anyone who knows one or who has one, hehehe... pariham :)

the ring
