health check before anything else
one of the topics discussed in the 3-day wedding congress seminar was 'the joys of parenting' (or something like that) by ms tin tin bersola. she talked about how she's taking care of antonia and how she found the pedia and ob whom she would entrust the health and the life of her baby, and hers too, during the delivery. of course, getting too engrossed in matters like that are far beyond the interest of the couples attending the seminar because the wedding congress is mostly about preparing our wedding, di ba? why bother ourselves agad with changing diapers and listing down the first fifty words of our baby this early nga naman. but her talk was very informative and believe it or not, i found myself listening intently especially on the part where she talked about the importance of check ups before the wedding day (both the bride and the groom).
oo nga naman, what if you thought all along that your partner is capable of giving you a baby, a healthy one at that, tapos after the wedding you found out na hndi pala? scary no, but it happens daw, and often it causes separation of the couple.
so i told mike agad that we need to find our doctors for that, especially me coz all of a sudden i thought of having pap smear na (dati i dread the day we will have our annual PE, because i was so uncomfortable having someone check on my- for the love of me- private parts. but now that we're getting old, carry ko na siguro yun. and this will be for me, my hubby and our future baby after all.
but that doest mean naman na we would stop the wedding if the doctor told us na we COULD be incapable of bearing a child. i still believe that with our faith, and the right timing (God's time, that is), dadating yan.
